Product Description:
The Type 4015D pulse generator can produce an ultra-fast pulse of -5 V with a drop time of 12 ps at 50 ohms. The pulse is generated in a small external pulse head that is connected to the mainframe via a coaxial cable. This allows the pulse head to be connected directly to where it is needed, thereby eliminating the rise time slowing effect of the interconnecting coaxial cable. By connecting the optional type 5208 pulse formation network to the pulse head output, the 4015D can also generate -1.9V, 22 ps pulses. If the two 5208s are connected in a cascade, it will result in a 1 V, 12.5 GHz unicycle. If higher power levels are required, the pulse or single wheel can be amplified by a travelling wave tube amplifier (TWTA).
