The LDC-3908 8-channel and LDC-3916 16-channel laser diode controllers are designed to simultaneously control laser current and temperature on a single host for optical amplifier development or production testing. Its high stability, low noise current and temperature controllers also make it ideal for low channel number aging systems. The laser current source, temperature, and combined controller modules are interchangeable between 8-channel and 16-channel hosts.
The smaller size and lighter weight of the LDC-3908 and LDC-3916 make them ideal controllers for small channel number applications. The LDC-3908 and LDC-3916 are space saving 3U high rack mounted instruments.
A variety of laser control modules are available, including LAS/TEC controllers, dual-channel laser current sources and dual-channel temperature control modules. The controller module delivers laser currents up to 500mA, 1A or 1.5A via an integrated 9W TEC controller. The dual laser current source module, with two isolated outputs, provides 500mA or 1A, while the dual channel temperature control module provides two independent 9W outputs. To control up to 16 higher power pumped lasers, a single output 3A current source can be used.
