The 8558A shares the same platform with the fully loaded 8588A reference multimeter. The platform has a common, intuitive user interface with an easy-to-navigate menu structure that works in all configurations and has matching SCPI-compatible commands for automated environments. The 8588A platform guarantees at least 100,000 readings per second at 4.5 bits via GPIB, USBTMC or Ethernet, and up to 15 million readings can be accommodated in on-board data memory.
