Product Description:
Keysight 81134A dual-channel 3.35GHz pulse code generator is the latest generation of high-speed pulse code generator products from Keysight. In applications where timing and performance are critical (such as high-speed serial bus applications such as PCI Express and Serial ATA), its fast rise time and low jitter can accurately calibrate devices and minimize jitter effects from jitter source injection. Similar to its predecessor, the Keysight 8133A, the new 81134A also defines the standard for high-speed applications. In addition to that,
The 81134A can also generate application-specific signal levels, such as pre-accentuated and de-accentuated (PCI Express) or squelch (serial ATA). The 81134A Keysight replaces pulses and data sources to help you test the device under test (DUT).
The 81134A provides hardware-based pseudo-random code (PRBS) generation and storage-based pattern generation to define basic test patterns of Infiniband, PCI-Express, and serial ATA. Code memory up to 12 MB per channel supports tests that require long data streams, such as disk drive testing. Now, with the help of a new PC-based type management tool, the 81134A can handle long forms more easily. The management tool generates, modifies, and stores codetypes on Microsoft Windows-based PCS. In addition, it provides an easy-to-use feature that allows the selected code type to be quickly loaded into the 81134A via a remote control interface GPIB, LAN or USB. The code management tool can be downloaded from the "Software and Firmware Downloads" link below.
The 81134A is an ideal source of data and patterns, especially for ophthalmogram measurements. The measuring auxiliary equipment includes Keysight 54850A serial Infiniium real-time oscilloscope and 86100C Infiniium broadband wide DCA-J digital communication analyzer sampling oscilloscope with jitter separation function. The 81134A is used with these oscilloscopes to provide a complete high-speed digital excitation/response solution.
When using the 81134A, clock and data signals can be artificially degraded, and its flexible crosspoint and jitter injection make it ideal for signal integrity testing. You can easily change the frequency, size and shape of the jitter to be injected to mimic the signal in the actual environment, such as connecting an arbitrary waveform generator such as 33220A Keysight to the delay control input of the code generator to achieve this function. The graphical user interface helps you quickly set all the relevant parameters, and you can use any of the remote interfaces, including GPIB, LAN and USB 2.0, to achieve remote control of the 81134A.
