The OSX-100E is an off-the-shelf fiber optic switch assembly that can be easily integrated into almost any fiber optic routing or switching application. It is easy to obtain common fiber types (standard single mode, 50 um or 62.5 um multimode); However, you can also order special fiber types (Step Index, large core multi-mode, small core single-mode).
Switches can be configured for 1x2 to 1x80 channels, and are also available in 2B or 2C configurations (see Configuration Options). For more complex signal routing and switching, low losses (< 0.5 dB) allow switches to be connected to achieve higher channel counts. For easy integration, each switch is equipped with a pre-programmed driver board and is controlled using the standard I2C communication protocol. The driver board can be installed separately or in conjunction with the optical switch, providing greater flexibility.
