The LP-05A five-axis lens positioner provides precise positioning of 1/2-inch (12.7 mm) optical components in five dimensions. Precision 100 TPI adjustment screw with knob contains an integral hex hole for smooth adjustment and increased sensitivity. Our zero-gap XY mechanism ensures precise positioning and enhanced long-term stability without relying on grease to occupy the gap between sliding elements, reducing drift over time and temperature. Independent locks for each translation and rotation axis securely lock the mechanism, not just the actuator's screws, maintaining stable optical alignment. Engaging or disengaging each lock has a negligible effect on the other axes. This five-axis (XYZθXθY) model provides smooth XYZ translation and true balance around two orthogonal coplanar axes. Five independent degrees of freedom allow you to precisely position optics in any plane along any axis. The threaded center hole accepts optic retaining rings and various optic holders for simple lenses, objectives or other optics. Each unit comes with two scratch-resistant Delrin clasps and an optical mount. All LP series lens positioners can be secured to the table by using the included slotted base plate, which can be attached to either side of the mount. Both inch and metric threaded holes on the bottom allow post mounting for easy adjustment of its optical axis height and azimuth orientation. It has an optical axis height of 2 inches.
