Single-channel, dual-channel or triple-channel - The multiple specifications and comprehensive functions of the R&S®HMC804x DC power supply make it perfectly suitable for development laboratory and industrial environments. Thanks to its high energy efficiency features, the linear power supply can maintain the characteristics of low temperature and low noise even under the maximum load. The practical interfaces and connectors facilitate users to operate the R&S®HMC804x quickly and conveniently. Simple functions ensure that the instrument can be used in special applications.
Flexible channel configuration, all channels are electrically isolated, and can be combined to drive balanced circuits or provide higher voltage/current.
All measurement parameters are clearly displayed. The high-brightness QVGA color display (320 pixels x 240 pixels) can show voltage, current and power values in real time. The setting and readback resolutions are up to 1 mV and 0.1 mA/1.0 mA respectively (depending on the current and model). Linear post-stage adjustment, high energy efficiency, low heat dissipation and silent fans ensure low residual ripple.
Flexible overcurrent protection, the FuseLink function can be used to self-combine the electronic fuses of each channel. A fuse delay can be set to prevent the channel from closing prematurely due to short-circuit current spikes. Overcurrent/overvoltage protection can be set separately for each channel. Electronic fuses can be linked to other channels. If a certain channel exceeds the maximum current intensity, that channel and all connected channels will be closed. Even a delay time can be set to prevent the channel from being prematurely closed due to short-circuit current spikes.
Programmable sequence
Arbitrary waveforms can be generated for voltage and current. Functions can be configured and executed through the control panel or the external interface.
EasyRamp function: Sometimes, the test sequence needs to avoid a sudden increase in voltage. The EasyRamp function enables users to run a linear startup curve within a defined time.
Remote control is carried out via USB and LAN. The HMC804x-G model is also additionally equipped with the IEEE-488 (GPIB) interface.
