The Keysight 34901A module for the 34970A/34972A data acquisition/switch unit is a highly versatile multiplexer suitable for general scanning. It realizes the combination of high-density, multi-function switches and up to 60 channels/second scanning rate, suitable for various data acquisition applications.
2-wire and 4-wire channels can be mixed on the same module. 2 additional inputs with fuses (22 channels in total) can send a maximum current of 1A to the internal digital multimeter, allowing AC and DC current measurements without using external shunt resistors.

The Keysight 34970A data acquisition/data logger switch unit consists of a 3-slot host and a built-in 6 1/2-digit digital multimeter. Each channel can be individually configured to measure one of 11 different functions, so that it does not increase the cost, nor does it require the use of complex signal conditioning accessories. You can build compact data loggers, full-featured data acquisition systems or low-cost switch units with 8 optional plug-in modules. The screw connection on the module does not require a terminal junction box, and the unique relay maintenance function records the number of times each switch is closed, thereby achieving easy and predictable relay maintenance. The most popular 34901A module has a built-in thermocouple reference and 20 2-wire channels.
