Description:
The Michelson interferometer implemented by DORC uses an electronically controlled zoom objective. The fringes created by introducing the internal reference path can be analyzed to measure the surface topography of the connector or fiber end face. The fully enclosed anti-vibration and anti-pollution Michelson configuration eliminates the requirement that the fine surface of the test sample be in physical contact with the measuring equipment. Non-contact not only avoids contamination of the sample and interferometer, but also eliminates the possibility of measurement errors caused by contamination.
